Local restaurant makes food so good it'll literally blow your hair back

CHEHALIS, WA - Local restaurant, Northwest Salmon Smokehouse and Artisan Market, is not your average Smokehouse restaurant. Since opening in downtown Chehalis, in early 2024, local patrons have been noticing some familiar trends after dining at the establishment, that is leaving them a little baffled, but still coming back.

“My husband and I have been coming here every Saturday since they opened.” said Margaret Chazzlebee, a Chehalis local. “We moved here from the beach and so when we heard this place was going to have chowder, we had to give it a try. Little did we know it was salmon chowder. Who would have thought you could make chowder out of salmon?”

We asked Mrs. Chazzlebee about this strange phenomena that customers are experiencing after eating the food from Northwest Salmon Smokehouse and Artisan Market, and she had this to say. “ It's like skydiving without any clothes on, or sticking your head out of the window of a car while driving down the interstate, or riding a steep roller coaster. That's it! It's a roller coaster in your mouth!”

Smoked Salmon Chowder

We talked to other patrons as the came and went throughout the day, and it sounds like the chowder isn't the only mind-blowing entree on the menu.

“I started with the chowder”, Said Harry Snutts, another local. “One day I decided to order out of my comfort zone and go with a Smoked Salmon Panini. I didn't know what it was, but it sounded French, so I figured it would be good, and boy was I right!”

“I'm not sure what they do to that Salmon, and frankly I don't care, but keep on doing it!” said Harry.

While Salmon based entree's are the focus of Northwest Salmon Smokehouse and Artisan Market, it's not the only thing that's on the menu. They offer Specialty Hot Dogs, Soups and Salads, Smoked Macaroni and Brisket, and more.
